Medica Group PLC said Friday that it has lost the re-tender for the National Screening Service in Ireland.
The London-listed provider of teleradiology and imaging services said that it is evaluating its response, but there wont’ be any impact on this year’s accounts due the transition period with the new provider.
It added that the company won’t now pay the final payment of 1.6 million Euros ($1.7 million) that was agreed as part of its acquisition of Global Diagnostics Ireland in November 2020.
Medica said that Global Diagnostics Ireland–which is now named Medica Ireland–is currently outperforming management’s year-to-date revenue expectations across its scanning and reporting services and remains well positioned for growth this year.
